In a manner of speaking, I grew up in this building. For a long time, it was host to a couple of my deepest passions: sports and music. Now that the A’s are on their way out, who knows how many more times I’ll have chance to set foot there. One of these days I’ll try to write up a more thorough account of my experiences at the Coliseum, but for now, here are some of the last images I captured there. I played baseball with my good friend Gil when we were teenagers. He became a security supervisor after retiring from the San Jose Fire Department, and I have to tell you, that was a great connection to have. In what may have been my final baseball game, my brother, sister, and I (appropriately) took in a game at the very last series where the A’s walked off the Rangers in the bottom of the ninth.
