Personal preference here, but no trip to Japan would be complete without taking in a professional baseball game. Having won the Japan Series in 2023, tickets to see the Hanshin Tigers play at Koshien Stadium on opening weekend would have proven difficult and expensive. Instead, we watched the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks visit the Orix Buffaloes at the Kyocera Dome. The home team hung on for a 4-2 win. I spent an inning hanging out in the oendan, or designated cheering section, for Softbank.
