Watching the Blue Angels fly never gets old for me. Since Fleet Week was introduced in San Francisco back in 1982, I’ve had many opportunities to watch them fly both from a distance and up close. My recent routine has been to shoot near the takeoff point at the Oakland Airport, where I made a photo of the passenger behind the pilot waving to the crowds gathered on the ground. Another notable instance was in 2022 from the top of a tower crane on Treasure Island in the middle of San Francisco Bay.
